He also kindly cleaned up the mess on my patio (the drains had overflowed during heavy rain, leaving it covered in sewage.) As I don't have access to the communal drain (he had to do it from my neighbour's), he even got out a metal detector to locate where my access shaft is (under the patio). Overall, Martin was thoroughly helpful and professional. I must also say of Happy Drains that they answer the phone quickly, and the lady I spoke to was helpful and courteous.

"The drain engineer arrived punctually. He made the area safe for passers by, as the drain hole cover was in the pavement outside in the street. He cleared the immediate blockage with a rod but then used the power water jet to flush out the whole pipe and clear away the accumulated grease and fat causing the blockage. At one point he practically disappeared inside the drain to remove a ball of fat with his hand! He was extremely thorough and efficient and left the drain sparkling clean! He was polite and friendly throughout. An overall top notch service!"

Took an hour, with a lot accomplished. No additional or unexpected charges.
