Phone was answered quickly when I rang up and explained the problem. I was called back pretty quickly with an estimated arrival time of between 11 and 3, in fact help arrived before 11. The problem was explained and assessed, and work began straight away. It took about 15 minutes or so and I was shown water draining from sink into manhole, blockage removed! Happy Drains sent Alex who was superbly focused and dedicated. He rapidly identified the blocked kitchen sink that had not been resolved by a plumber was a drainage issue (as suspected), found the drains, identified the correct one linked to the kitchen, sent a camera down to find the blockage, and rinsed it away with high pressure water jet. Took an hour, with a lot accomplished. No additional or unexpected charges. Very happy with their service and professionalism (given dealing with these sorts of issues can be a minefield of distrust).
