I had originally called British Gas Home Emergency Service who sent out a DynoRod engineer. I had put unblocker chemicals down the drain which had failed to clear the blockage. When the DynoRod engineer saw the chemicals he refused to continue the job stating it was too risky as the chemicals are very harmful, and said nothing could be done for 72 hours after using the chemicals. Happy Drains attended 24 hours later and cleared the blockage with no fuss, and no injuries!

The gentleman who came was very helpful, tidy and gave good advice for ongoing drain maintenance. I marked them down in reliability and timekeeping because an admin error at their end meant my appointment was not noted down as it should have been and he was later than I thought. However, the workman was totally honest about this when he arrived and apologised. I was impressed with his honesty about it. I would not hesitate to use them again as everything else was brilliant.

I called at 4 pm and was told they could try to get someone out in the hour but would most likely be in the morning. 5 minutes later I received a call back saying they would be out within the hour. 40 minutes later a guy knocked on the door and 1/2 hour later he was leaving after a job well done. Just moved into new home &found drains blocked. Water company said couldn't come out for 3-5 days, - too long if you can't use the loo! Left message for Gary. Even though it was Sunday, he called back really quickly and talked us through what problem might be, reassured us we'd be okay overnight, and if the water company still wasn't able to attend, he'd come out Monday to fix things. Thankfully, water company engineer very helpfully appeared at 6pm and cleared things. Gary called back early Monday to check on us, and was again so helpful. Couldn't ask for someone more helpful!
