I've used Happy Drains for many years. From complicated jobs (rebuilding a damaged sewer drain) to just a quick unblock. The last job was a simple blocked main drain. They came in the afternoon, called ahead to tell me the time they would be arriving. It was a simple job but when you have a household using the shower and toilet it needed to be sorted. Happy Drains do just that. Happy, helpful and knowledgeable people who took my call around 3pm on 24 May. Local Eastbourne landline and mobile office numbers on their advert on Google search. They took a full description of the problem over the phone and recorded it for the engineer to view first thing the next morning so that we did not have to repeat anything. The engineer just got on with identifying and clearing the blockage. He had hosed down the area and left it tidy. He gave us a thumbs up to confirm we were happy and was on his way within half an to the next Happy Drains customer.

Rachel was friendly, efficient and helpful on the phone, and then Gary and Mitch arrived promptly and were fantastic at dealing with the blockage (even with a very stubborn manhole cover!), clearing away once they were done. They were great guys- friendly and professional and took time to explain the outcome (in layman's terms!). Today another chap came out to carry out the survey/inspection. I rang Happy Drains who advised I contact the Water board first.... if a drain is 'shared' works have to be carried out by the Water board ( I had no idea!). I'm writing this review to thank Happy Drains for their honesty, they could have conducted a call out, which I would have been charged for, but instead they gave me upfront advice to check first. Turns out the drain is the responsibility of the Water board who have been and fixed the problem.

I discovered we had a completely blocked main drain. Phoned Happy Drains at around 3.30 pm and they sent someone round within two hours. Drain blockage quickly cleared and then the rest of the system checked over with a drain camera. Metal debris discovered and removed. All done on a cold dark evening in a very efficient and professional way.
